James I (1603-1625), Third Coinage, Halfcrown, 1621-1623, King on horseback right, ground line below, rev. plumes over square-topped and garnished shield, 3h, 14.55g, m.m. thistle (North 2123; Spink 2666), scratch through obverse field from horse to legend, some weakness to legends and portrait rubbed, otherwise toning to recesses, about very fine and rare.
