Charles I (1625-1649), Briot's First Milled Issue, Halfcrown, 1631-1632, Tower, armoured King on horseback left, holding sword upright, ground below, rev. crowned oval-garnished shield, dividing crowned cypher, 6h, 14.74g, m.m. flower and B / B (Brooker 715 same dies; North 2299; Spink 2852), some metal stressing to the obverse, a touch of rub to the highest points, otherwise pleasingly toned, bolder very fine, scarce.
