George III (1760-1820), Quarter-Guinea, 1762, laureate head right, rev. crowned garnished shield, edge obliquely milled, 2.04g, 6h (Stratos 25-26; Schneider II, 627; MCE 463; EGC 886; Spink 3741), clumsily removed from a mount with damage to rims at 10 and 12 o'clock, the flan crinkled and scratched, the struck details otherwise very fine, a type-filler example of this popular type; also, Third-Guinea, 1802, first laureate head right, rev. crown and date, edge obliquely milled, 2.69g, 12h (EGC 872; MCE 454; Spink 3739), removed from a mount with resultant damage at 12 o'clock, the surfaces sweated, otherwise about good, rare.
