George III (1760-1820), Shilling, 1787, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. crowned cruciform shields, seven strings to harp, with semée of hearts, edge obliquely milled, 7h, 6.01g (ESC 1225; Bull 2129; Spink 3746), a handful of nailmarks and a small metal flaw to forehead, otherwise with a somewhat polished appearance yet darkly toned, very fine.
