George III (1760-1820), Sixpence, 1787, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. crowned shields cruciform, no hearts, edge obliquely milled, 6h, 2.99g (ESC 1626; Bull 2187; Spink 3748), a couple of nailmarks to face and a touch of rub to higher points, otherwise darkly toned, very fine.
