Edward VII (1901-1910), Crown, 1902 II, bare head right, rev. St George and Dragon, lettered edge upwards, 28.28g, 12h (ESC 361; Bull 3560; Spink 3978), lightly wiped but lustrous, almost extremely fine.
This example is curious for the edge lettering is rendered in sharpness and relief more reminiscent of the Matte Proof issues, whilst the obverse and reverse are clearly struck from business currency dies
Estimate: £150 - £200
