FI.D, crowned and draped bust right, rev. HENRETTA. MARIA. D.G. MAG. BRITAN. FRAN. ET. HIB. REG., draped bust left, 33mm x 44mm, 13.18g (Eimer 166b; MI.I 355/216; Farguhar 1905/263), rub to high points and cleaned, otherwise bold very fine and with suspension loop.
More than forty Royalist badges, produced between 1649-1660, commemorate the Stuart family. They were worn by loyalists and occur with suspension loops. Some were gilt; such as this example.
