Isle of Man, Onchan Internment Camp Brass Tokens (3), Sixpence, c.1940, triskelion, rev. denomination, plain edge, 6.58g; Penny, c.1940, triskelion, rev. denomination, plain edge, 2.74g; Halfpenny, c.1940, triskelion, rev. denomination, plain edge, 3.77g, (Yarwood 1-3; Quarmby 197-9; Mackay 136-8; Prid. 65-7; KM. Tn 23-5) some carbonised marks, otherwise all with hints of original mint surfaces, extremely fine or better.
The Onchan camp consisted of 60 buildings and was opened in June 1940. The camp initially held interned Germans and Austrians, then after September 1940 exclusively Italians.

The coins were struck by Messr J. R. Gaunt & Son Ltd, Birmingham. A total of 2,500 Sixpence pieces were struck, alongside 20,000 Pennies and 2,000 Halfpennies.
