ISLAMIC, Ayyubids. Mayyafariqin & Jabal Sinjar. al-Ashraf I Muzaffar al-Din Musa. AH 607-617 / AD 1210-1220. Æ Dirhem (30mm, 11.80 g, 4h). Mayyafariqin mint. Dated AH 612 (AD 1215/6). Turbaned prince seated facing, with right leg drawn up, holding globe in right hand, placing left hand on hip / Legend citing al-Adil I Abu Bakr as overlord within and around trilobe. Balog, Ayyubids 851; Album 859.1. Near VF, brown patina, green deposits and a few areas of powdery green corrosion on obverse.
