Pseudo-Imperial, uncertain AV Solidus. In the name of Anastasius I. Uncertain mint, AD 491-518. D N ANASTASIVS PERP AVG, helmeted, pearl-diademed and cuirassed bust facing, holding spear and shield decorated with horseman and fallen enemy motif / VICTORIA AVGGG Θ, Victory standing facing, head to left, holding long jewelled cross; star in right field, CONOB in exergue. Unpublished in the standard references; for another example of similar style, cf. Roma XXIII, 1156 (Ɐ officina, hammer: 4,600 GBP). 4.48g, 20mm, 6h.

Near Mint State. Apparently unique and unpublished.
