Hadrian Æ Drachm of Alexandria, Egypt. Dated RY 16 = AD 131/2. AVT KAI TPAI AΔPIA CЄB, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust to right / Laureate and togate emperor standing in car of slow quadriga to right, holding eagle-tipped sceptre in left hand and laurel branch in extended right hand; L Iς (date) in exergue. Near Mint State; a bold and striking portrait. Rare, particularly so in this condition; one of the very finest of all surviving Alexandrian bronzes.
