Anonymous Æ Triens. South Italian mint, circa 218-201 BC. Helmeted head of Minerva to right; •••• (mark of value) above / Prow of galley to right; •••• (mark of value) below. McCabe Group C1 (this denomination unlisted); cf. Crawford 89/5 (club series). 5.48g, 20mm, 6h.

Good Very Fine; traces of overstriking, likely on a Poseidon/trident type of Syracuse (cf. HGC 2, 1550), attractive brown patina. Extremely Rare.
