MEXICO. KM# 116 VAR (A&C# 1376 VAR) – Escudo 1761 Mo MM. VF Primer tipo acuñado a nombre de Carlos III, variedad o "sub-tipo" con coleta detrás del busto, detalle que hemos observado únicamente en otros dos ejemplares de esta denominación y en piezas de 2 Escudos, el cual no se había mencionado con anterioridad, algunos regrabados en leyenda de anverso, rara en cualquier estado de conservación, bien acuñada, lamentablemente usada en joyería, montura removida a las 12:00, rayoncitos a la derecha del escudo, sin duda una pieza de interés para aquellos coleccionistas especializados en oro colonial

First type minted in the name of Carlos III, variety or "sub-type" with pigtail behind the bust, detail that we have observed only in two other copies of this denomination and in pieces of 2 Escudos, which had not been mentioned before, some reengraved in obverse legend, rare in any state of conservation, well struck, unfortunately used in jewelry, mount removed at 12:00, scratches to the right of the shield, undoubtedly a piece of interest for those collectors specialized in colonial gold
