MEXICO. KM# 128 (A&C# 1579) – 2 Escudos 1760 Mo MM. XF Primera fecha de acuñación de este raro y elusivo tipo de tan solo dos años. Destacable por su grado de conservación, similar a la última pieza ofertada por Stacks & Bowers en su subasta de Enero de 2021 bajo el lote No. 22215 graduada por NGC en XF-45 y vendido por US$4,320.00, siendo actualmente el mejor ejemplar certificado, la presente aunque ligeramente más débil del escudo ostenta menores marcas y daños por reverso en campos, ínfimos rayoncitos en parte baja izquierda del escudo, sutil pátina ocre en bordes del diseño, en general una pieza bastante agradable para un tipo al cual poco se le puede exigir

First year of mintage of this rare and elusive type of only two years mintage. Remarkable for its conservation, similar to the last piece offered by Stacks & Bowers in their January 2021 auction under lot No. 22215 graded by NGC at XF-45 and sold for US$4,320.00, being currently the best certified specimen. this piece is slightly weaker on the shield shows minor marks and reverse damage on the surface, tiny scratches on the lower left side of the shield, subtle ochre patina on the edges of the piece, overall a very nice piece.
