On the obverse side a togated bust of Maximilian facing left, individually elaborated, grafted on the coin and excellently executed, with the legend in small letters "Maximilian Emperor", coat of arms of the second empire on the reverse, detailed and high reliefs, bright and reflective surface, slightly toned, the rarest medal allusive to Maximilian made by Ricardo Martinez and with less than 12 specimens made. Weight 36.10 grams and diameter 41 millimeters.
