From the Historical Scholar Collection
The a rare year of the shekel series. Although it is not the year commonly attributed to the year of Jesus Christ's crucifixion, because there is uncertainty regarding the true date of Jesus' death, it could've fallen anytime between Civic year 156 to 159. It is of popular belief that these Tyrian shekels were the "thirty pieces of silver" referenced in the bible.
