ANT•AVG / III•VIR•R•P•C, war galley under oar right with triple ram prow and scepter tied with fillet / CHORTIS•SPECVLATORVM, three standards, each decorated with wreaths and rostra. Crawford 544/12. One of the rarest of the legionary series, the Cohortes Speculatorum were some of the best naval soldiers formed into a unit whose main role was to accompany Antony, serving essentially as a personal guards and spies.
