Claudius I (AD 41-54). AE imitative sestertius (35mm, 18.56 gm, 6h). NGC XF 4/5 - 1/5, smoothing. Uncertain Balkan mint imitation of Rome, ca. AD 42-43. TI•CLAVDIVS•CAESAR•AVG•P•M•TR•P•IMP, laureate head of Claudius I right / SPES-AVGVSTA, Spes advancing left, flower upward in right hand, hitching stola with left; S•C below. Cf. RIC I 99 for prototype.
