Maurice Tiberius (AD 582-602). AV solidus (22mm, 4.51 gm, 6h). NGC MS 2/5 - 4/5, double-struck. Constantinople, 2nd officina. o N mAVRC-TIb PP AVG, draped and cuirassed bust of Maurice Tiberius facing, wearing plumed helmet with diadem and pendilia, globus cruciger in right hand / VICTORI-A AVGG B, angel standing facing, staff surmounted by staurogram in right hand, globus cruciger in left; CONOB in exergue. Sear 478. Somewhat dramatic double-strike with two angels visible on the reverse.
