Burma/Thailand, a set of cast bronze opium weights (6), duck or hintha bird style, 19th or perhaps early 20th century, ten kyats and smaller, on hexagonal bases, approximately 68.5 – 26.5mm.; two separate weights, differing styles, blackened bronze, each approx. 56mm., generally very fine (8)
From a small collection of native, primitive and curious currency. It is understood that the group was formerly in the collection of Howard D. Gibbs (1895-1970) and purchased by him from the dealer Wayte Raymond.
