Burma/Thailand, a set of cast bronze opium weights (5), in the form of elephants, largest on shaped base, next three hexagonal and smallest round, the largest well modelled and decorative, 35 – 19.5mm., 19th or perhaps early 20th century; others (2), circular pointed hat, 26 & 15mm., generally very fine (7)
From a small collection of native, primitive and curious currency. It is understood that the group was formerly in the collection of Howard D. Gibbs (1895-1970) and purchased by him from the dealer Wayte Raymond.
