The remnants of a working library. The majority of the books in these lots have been used to a greater or lesser extent. Some have dust-jackets, some don't; many have company labels showing their origin; several have notes or cuttings 'tucked in'. They have been catalogued into groups by the subject they cover rather than a strictly alphabetical order. And, as with all libraries, there are a few gems, a few association items and a multitude of useful references.
