MACEDON (Roman Protectorate), Republican period. First Meris. Circa 167-149 BC. AR Tetradrachm (32mm, 16.69 g, 9h). Amphipolis mint. Diademed and draped bust of Artemis right, bow and quiver over shoulder, in the center of a Macedonian shield / Club; monogram above, two monograms below; all within oak wreath, thunderbolt to left. Prokopov, Silver, Group I.A, 132 (O39/R109); HGC 3, 1103. Lightly toned, slight die shift on reverse. EF. Fine style portrait. Very rare issue, only one die pair and three coins known to Prokopov.
