Herbert Purssell Eustace was born on the 17th of January 1892 at Reading, he joined the Royal Naval Air Service on the 4th of December 1914, to serve for "Hostilities Only", he gave his occupation as works manager and was rated as Petty Officer Engineer on the day he joined. He Served with No. 8 Squadron Seaplanes in Zanzibar East Africa where he was awarded the DSM. He transferred to the Royal Air Force on the 1st of April 1918. He obtained his Pilot's licence, Aero Club Certificate Number 7544, on the 30th of January 1919.he was granted a Honorary Commission as a 2nd Lieutenant on his demobilisation in 1920.


He was granted a Commission as a Squadron Leader on the 1st of September 1939. He was twice Mentioned during World War two as a Squadron Leader General Duties Branch, he died on the 18th of March 1952 in Oxford.


Sold with original Commission into RAF, Original MiD Certificates for both mentions, framed, and glazed, MiD Emblems, buttons and RAF cap badge albatross badges. Trio contemporarily mounted on Bar other medals loose.
