The Very Rare Royal Victorian Medal in Bronze (Associate's Ribbon), attributed to Ratnabahadur Rai, comprising, King Bihendra Coronation Medal 1975, Industrial Service Merit Medal 1973, Military long Service Decoration – 25 Years' Service, Military Long Service & Good Conduct Medal, Royal Guards Service Medal, SAARC Service Medal*, Royal Victorian Medal, EiiR, Bronze, Ribbon for Foreign Associates, all unnamed as issued, contemporarily mounted, toned fine (7).

According to the book Royal Service, published in 1996 the section, written by David Stanley, lists only 10 Royal Victorian Medals in bronze as ever awarded to associates, (Foreign Nationals) up to 1996, including one issued to Ratnabahadur Rai, an Embassy Guard in Bangkok; issued on Her Majesties visit to Thailand on the 10th of February 1972. This is most likely, therefore, his group of medals as the Nepalese medals were all awarded in the period approximately 1960‑1980. An exceedingly rare group with only 10 R.V.M.s awarded up to 1996.

*South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation Medal.
