Scotland, Charles II (1649-85), silver Dollar, 1681, laureate and draped bust left, F in front of drapery presumably for Falconer, outer beaded circle with legend surrounding, CAROLVS. II. .DEI. GRA. rev. pair of interlinked Cs at centre of crowned cruciform shields, thistles in angles, date either side of top crown, .SCO ANG.FR ET.HIB REX., edge plain, weight 26.51g (S.5618). Very fine, some scratches to plain edge and a scattering of shallow verdigris, otherwise pleasing and unusually well-preserved for this popular Scottish Crown.
