Anne (1702-14), gold Half Guinea, 1710, Post-Union, draped bust left, legend surrounding, ANNA.DEI. GRATIA. toothed border around rim both sides, rev. Post-Union crowned cruciform shields, sceptres in angles, garter star at centre, date either side of top crown, .MAG BRI. FR ET. HIB REG., weight 4.16g (EGC 489; MCE 233; S.3575). Faintly lustrous with moderate highpoint wear, well-struck, about very fine, the reverse better.
The Latin legends translate as on the obverse "Anne by the Grace of God," and abbreviated on the reverse as "Queen of Great Britain, France and Ireland."
