UNC DETAILS | George III (1760-1820), copper Penny, 1797, 'Cartwheel' type, laureate and draped bust right, K raised on truncation for engraver C H Kuchler, wreath with eleven leaves and two berries, more outward pointing end to ribbon, legend incuse on raised rim, GEORGIUS III. D: G. REX., rev. Britannia seated left on rock with trident and shield, holding olive branch, ship sailing right to left, SOHO mintmark raised on rock below, tri-pellets incuse on rock to right, date incuse on rim below, BRITANNIA. (Peck 1133; S.3777). A pleasing example with patches of residual mint lustre, graded by NGC as UNC Details (Obverse Scratched).

Calendar Year Mintage 43,969,204.

The Latin legends translates as "George the Third by the Grace of God, King".
