PF64 RB | Victoria (1837-1901), bronze decimal pattern Penny, 1857, diademed young head portrait left, date below, inner and outer beaded border with Latin legend surrounding, VICTORIA D: G: BRITANNIAR: REGINA F: D:, rev. Britannia seated facing right on rocks with shield and trident, beaded inner and outer border surrounding, denomination DECIMAL PENNY above round, ONE TENTH OF A SHILLING below round (Peck 1968 VR; Fr. 674 R18 6-15 known). A fantastic example of an early British decimal pattern with strong residual mint lustre, graded by NGC as PF64 RB, the highest graded of its type.

NGC Certification 1879855-019.

The Latin legend translates as "Victoria by the Grace of God, Queen of the Britains, Defender of the Faith".
