MS64 RB | Victoria (1837-1901), bronze Penny, 1861, laureate and draped bust left, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA D: G: BRITT: REG: F: D:, rev. Britannia seated facing right on rocks with shield and trident, lighthouse to her left, ship sailing away to her right, denomination ONE PENNY either side round, date in exergue (Peck 1646; Fr.33 dies 6+G; M.1861N; Satin 36; S.3954). An excellent example retaining some residual mint lustre, graded by NGC as MS64 RB.

Calendar Year Mintage 36,449,000.

The Latin legend translates as "Victoria by the Grace of God, Queen of the Britains, Defender of the Faith".
