MS65 BN | Victoria (1837-1901), bronze Penny, 1897, stop between O and N of reverse legends, normal sea level, Veiled head left, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA. DEI. GRA. BRITT. REGINA. FID. DEF. IND. IMP., rev. Britannia seated facing right on rocks with shield and trident, sea in background, denomination O.NE PENNY either side round, date in exergue (Peck -; Fr.147 dies 1+B; M.1897Ba; S.3961). Toned, a good example of a rare variety, graded by NGC as MS65 BN.

NGC Certification 6321673-012 but mis-labelled as "low sea level" and without the O stop N mentioned.

Calendar Year Mintage 20,756,600.

The Latin legend translates as "Victoria by the Grace of God, Queen of the Britons, Defender of the Faith, Empress of India".
