Centenary of the Union of England and Scotland, 1807, large silver medal by T Wyon Sr and [reverse] T Martyn, WITH GOD AND THE PEOPLE THE THRONE IS IMMORTAL / GEORGIVS III. ET CHARLOTTA. REX ET REGINA BRITANIARUM, conjoined heads of the King and Queen Charlotte left, wide border of spear points, final narrow scrolled border, rev. CONCORD IS THE SECURITY OF NATIONS, figures of the three Kingdoms hold hands, in the style of the Three Graces, oak wreath around, 84mm (BHM 628, R2; Eimer 981; BDM III, 599 and VI, 640). A superb medal, choice extremely fine and extremely rare.
