MS65 BN | Edward VIII (1936), as Prince of Wales, bronze medal, 1928, draped bust left, twisted rope border and legend surrounding both sides, FOR GOD KING AND EMPIRE, circular depression designed for piercing at 12 o'clock both sides, rev. Britannia seated facing right holding caduceus and laurel branch, EMPIRE DAY MAY 24TH, BRITISH EMPIRE UNION in exergue, 33mm (Eimer-2010). Struck with a peculiar matt finish, as issued and highly unusual without piercing, graded by NGC as MS65 BN.

NGC Certification 6321077-001.

Issued by the British Empire Union for distribution on Empire Day, the reverse design of this medal was originally intended for a currency Crown.
