St. George and dragon right, WWP under lance, mintmark M at centre of ground-line, date in exergue, B.P. to upper right of exergue for designer Benedetto Pistrucci, edge milled, weight 7.98g (Marsh 240; S.3999). A superb example of a key date in the Australian Sovereign series retaining full mint lustre, graded by PCGS as MS63.
