Kingdom of Macedon, Demitrios I Poliorketes (306-283 BC), silver Tetradrachm, Tarsos, c.298-295 BC, Nike, sounding trumpet, holding stylis, alights on prow, left, rev. Poseidon Pelagaios advancing left, with drapery on left arm, preparing to throw trident, BAΣIΛΕΩΣ ΔΗΜΗΤΡΙΟΥ, monograms in field, 17.07g, 3h (cf. Newell 33 for a stater with these monograms; Seleucus I Hoard 1037–41). Some light surface deposit and marks, good very fine.
