Head of Roma right, wearing winged helmet, ornamented with griffin's head, the visor in three pieces and peaked, earring, and pearl necklace; no mark of value to left; Q CVRT upwards to right / Jupiter driving galloping quadriga right, hurling thunderbolt and holding scepter; lituus above; M • SI(LA) below; ROMA in exergue. Crawford 285/2 note (this coin); Sydenham 537 var. (mark of value); Kestner 2463-7 var. (same); BMCRR Rome 486-7 var. (same); Curtia 2b (this coin referenced); CNR 4 note (this coin). Good VF, attractively toned. Extremely rare without the mark of value, apparently unique. Struck from the most artistic obverse die of these moneyers.
