Marcus Aurelius. As Caesar, AD 139-161. AV Aureus (18mm, 7.11 g, 6h). Rome mint. Struck under Antoninus Pius, AD 155-156. ΛVRELIVS CΛ ESΛR ΛVG P II F, bareheaded and draped bust right / TR POT X COS II, Minerva advancing right, brandishing javelin in right hand, holding round shield in left. RIC IV 465d (Pius); Strack 304 (Pius); Calicó 1956 (same obv. die); Biaggi 886 (same obv. die); BMCRE 867 (Pius) var. (bust type). Good VF, minor earthen deposits, some shallow cleaning scratches, tiny test on edge. Well centered.
