World coins
China
China, Qing Dynasty, 1875-1908, 5 Tael silver coin, "Sycee", countermark in the center of the coin, Ag, 183.10 g. The symbols on the object mean "double happiness" or "good luck". The specialty of this Sycee compared to others is that the symbols are displayed 4 times. This one must have brought 'a lot' of happiness to (someone) - perhaps as a wedding gift or (hopefully) as a gift to the royals at the time.
