An Egyptian faience pectoral scarab, Late Period - Ptolemaic, ca. 664 - 30 B.C. , with deep turquoise color and holes at either side for attachment of the wings. This type of scarab was commonly sewn onto the bandages of the mummies of the period. 4.3 x 3.2 mm. Some loses to edge. Ex J. Rilling Collection, Orange County, Ca. Estimated Value: $150 - $250.
