Obv: IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG.
Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right.
Rev: VIRTVTI AVGVSTI.
Hercules Farnese standing right, leaning on club set on rock, right hand behind back.

We know of Denarius and Antoninianus examples of coins with a bust of Gordian on the obverse and Hercules Farnese on the reverse. However, the Quinarii example of this coin type is the first known example.
