Silesia, Duchy of Liegnitz-Brieg-Wohlau, Georg III, Ludwig IV, Christian, Ducat Brieg 1655 - VERY RARE

Extremely rare Silesian ducat of 'three brothers', hybrid of stamps from 1654 and 1655.

In the specialist catalog 'Common coinage of three brothers 1651-1662' by Marcin Grandowski, the rarity level was specified on the R7 for the vintage as well as the R7 for the variety, which means 7-8 pieces known to the author.

The year 1655 is, next to 1654, the second rarest year of the 'three brothers' ducats, only 1662 is rarer.

Analyzing the online listings of this variety, we did not find a single one in Poland, while Coinarchives has only four.

Dużej rzadkości dukat śląski 'trzech braci', hybryda stempli z 1654 i 1655 roku.

Dobry detal i fragmenty menniczego połysku.

Złoto, średnica 23 mm, waga 3.42 g
