Iraq 1947 (ND 1959) P-46 PMG Choice About UNC 58 EPQ 1/4 Dinar
A wonderful, lightly circulated example of this challenging type. Surpassed in the PMG population report by just one finer example, it is noteworthy to mention that just two 58's have received the "EPQ" designation from PMG, and the only UNC graded did not. It must be noted that this particular type, which comes with only one prefix, was issued by the Central Bank of Iraq after the 14 July revolution which overthrew the Iraqi monarchy (and lead to the death of King Faisal II, who appears on this banknote). As such, this is a very short-lived and challenging type, especially at this grade level, and a rare opportunity for the Iraqi specialist.
