An unusually broad strike - the standard for this coin was 36.8 mm - with well-defined and boldly struck edge lettering. As such this piece is an anomaly and poses somewhat of an enigma in view of the machinery and technology of the time. An interesting coin and in need of further research. Some old hairlines in fields. Russet highlights, abundant lustre. About uncirculated
