Crowned and mantled bust of Catherine the Great r., signed below: Faith standing r., holding a cross over her shoulder and consoling a woman, cradling her baby, seated before her, building in the distance with Catherine the Second's monogram, column at left signed I.G. Waechter f: 14.C: 19 ("You Too Shall Live. Gospels, 14-19") above, date in ex. Integral loop. This Extremely rare Award was issued under Alexander I, circa 1808. Condition: Lovely old toning – deep violet-lavender grey with pale amber highlights and sparkling lustre. Choice extremely fine
