Diakov 474.1 (R3), CRM 368, Reichel 3508 (AE), Sm 452. Head of Nicholas I r., signed on truncation / Four-line Persian legend, date below, within laurel wreath. The middle two lines of Persian inscription have been deliberately effaced in the past, possibly to provide a surface for a presentation inscription which never occurred. Screw loop for award presentation and display. Extremely rare. Condition: Lovely old toning – lilac-lavender grey with soft iridescent hues and rich lustre. Small edge bruise
