RUSSIAN MEDALS. BADGES. Badge of the Committee to Assist Soldiers, Victims of War and their Families. P/B 3.28. By Karl Faberge. Silver and enamels. Hallmarked behind eagle, zolotniki mark '88' on pin. Imperial eagle with fanlike Tail superimposed on laurel wreath, shield with Moscow Arms in multi-enamels on breast, white enamelled crossed scepter and orb and long cross below; at bottom is a blue-enamelled ribbon inscribed. The named inscription on the back is weak and has been deliberately effaced. A popular and well known Faberge firm production cited in most references on this world famous jeweler. Condition: Enamel loss on orb and scepter, otherwise pleasing and well preserved
