THRACE, Hadrianopolis. Antoninus Pius. As Caesar, AD 138. Æ (35mm, 21.23 g, 6h). Bare head right / Male figure (Castor?), nude, standing left, holding horse by bridle standing left. Jurukova –; RPC IV.1 11165; Varbanov 3145 = BCD Boiotia 1021. Dark brown patina, roughness, struck on an oversized flan. Good Fine. Very rare, the second known. Both known specimens were struck on oversized flans.
