CANADA. The Bank of Nova Scotia. 100 Dollars, 1929. CH #550-28-40. PMG Choice Fine 15.
Halifax, Nova Scotia. Penned signature at left with engraved signature of S.J. Moore. Just two examples of this type have been graded by PMG at the time of cataloging. At center is a large "100" counter, with allegorical Liberty and a lion at left. At right of the counter is allegorical Art & Industry. The undertint is comprised of a green color in the signature panel, whilst the rest of the tint is a orange-yellow color. The intricately engraved back design is in a dark brown color. This type is incredibly scarce, with this being the first example we can recall handling. Most likely missing from even the most advanced collections of Canadian paper. PMG comments "Small Tear."

From the Paradise Collection.

Estimate: $10000 - $15000
