A very high denomination note, and a showstopper of the utmost rarity. This is the key note for Netherlands Antilles collectors, with just about a handful known to the collecting community. For reference, although this note is not graded by PMG, their grading service has graded just one example at the time of cataloging. This example is offered in Extremely Fine condition, with appealing color and detail found for the mid-condition.

Just 10,000 examples of this type were printed, and the face value was higher than the British Caribbean 100 Dollar issues of the same period. When the bank started selling off the 500 Gulden notes, none of the 250s were left. The series of 1962 Netherlands Antilles replaced the Curacao issue of 1960. This was the second highest denomination of the series, and an extraordinary note for the Caribbean collector.
