People's Bank of China, 5th series renminbi, 1999, an unadopted design for the 100 yuan of the series, uniface obverse, red on multicolour, Great Wall at upper left of centre, geometric guilloche, 'Yi Bai Yuan' (100 Yuan) within, with security at centre and watermark of Mao at left,(Pick 901pd1 for similar), graded PMG 63EPQ Choice Uncirculated (As Made Ink), an extremely rare, if not unique, unadpoted design that will surely grace any collection of renminbi notes. This material is currently severely under appreciated and will surely become a true gem in the future.
